A Topsy Curvy Halloween

You may or may not know, but Halloween and Autumn is my favourite time of year. I love the spooky nights, horror films and the crunch of colourful leaves under my feet. The opportunity to dress up will always excite me - just like its comic con but once a year and I don't need at least a hundred pound or an overdraft to spend on Pop Vinyl's and such.

When I was a child Halloween was always so exciting, its been with me my whole life - the urge to dress up and be someone different for a little while. My mom even spent hours making me costumes for different events, my snow white costume was my pride and joy when I was small and the queen of hearts was pretty cool too.
Its fun to experiment with clothes, style and costumes and what better time is there than when you were a child? I never really grew out of that though - and there's nothing wrong with that. Halloween is for all ages.

So when I saw the Topsy Curvy Halloween range released I knew I had to get in on it. I've been Team Topsy for a long time and that's no secret. I like their prices, Jo and Nat are lovely people and a lot of what they stock suits my style to a T.

I picked out a piece that was a little quirky, a little bit of me and something I won't just wear at Halloween too. This eyeball tunic was £18 on the new site, but there's a great selection on the site.
Given my love of Autumn I had to shoot this in a place with pretty leaves, so what better place than The Beacon? It was so beautiful.

For this outfit given my height I couldn't wear the tunic with tights, it wouldn't cover my bum to be frank. I paired it with simple Primark leggings and these starry ankle boots which only see the light of day once we hit Autumn. but for a night out I'd put them with my knee high glittery boots and some cheap, but fun Primark accessories. I also paired it with my faux leather jacket which was a steal inh ASDA recently.
On many Halloween's I've dressed up in full costume and had the time of my life but as I'm getting older I don't go out so much, so this tunic is ideal to still be in the spirit of Halloween but keep it a little more casual. If the event arises though, I'm definitely ready with all the accessories I've picked up too.

For this look I wanted a semi dramatic eye look but the cold as ice lips are a personal favourite, I created them with a blue Nyx Liquid Suede lipstick in Jet Set and dabbed the Makeup Revolution Haunted Lights highlighter over the top to create the sheen.

The eye look was created with the Rose Gold eye foil across the lid and under my lower lashes, an orange from the Makeup Revolution Fierce As Fire pallete and the purple from the MUA Poptastic palette. I also used the Nyx Vivid Brights eyeliner in Vivid Violet.

For my face I used my usual foundation which is the Revolution Pro Foundation Drops in F2, the Makeup Revolution Haunted Lights highlighter and MUA Ultra Fine loose setting powder.

I know this look isn't too dramatic but is something I could get away with at work and to go out in too which is always a bonus, if I was wearing this Topsy Curvy tunic to go out I'd probably go a little more dark with the makeup and dramatic lashes.

What are you wearing for Halloween?
