Boohoo Smock Dress, Is It A Yes?

In my recent Boohoo haul I picked up this green smock dress, when I unpacked it I was a bit unsure as it didn't have much shape (I know, I know its a smock dress) and I was concerned it would make me feel a bit frumpy but once on it was the total opposite.

I picked this out because I loved the colour, its such a lovely green and the little pink spots in the middle of the flowers set it off nicely.  The material is non stretch but really comfortable to wear, like with other Boohoo items I sized up for comfort and a fit that I feel comfortable with.

This dress is so wearable, I wore it for a pub lunch recently and would wear it for work, play and everything in between. Its lovely and cool, I hate being too warm in clothes as I don't temperature regulate so this was just right.

A couple of years ago I'd have never worn a dress like this that is so floaty, and I'm so happy with how far I have come - I once thought maxi dresses weren't for me, especially smock dresses but I love that I've been proven wrong and I've found colour again. My style has evolved and changes every day, and this can be styled many ways.

I wore it with my studded ankle boots and a studded bag with my leather jacket to add a bit of edge when going for a pub lunch with my friend and I felt pretty bad-ass - I really like mixing girly and grunge. I'd also wear it with Doc Martens because they go with everything.

To style it up I'd add a shiny belt, a pair of wedges and pink coat to pop with the pink in the flowers. I might even add some colourful tights.

I'll definitely be investing in more smock dresses as I was really impressed by this one - I think I'm a convert for comfortable days where I want to feel stylish too.
