Yours have been advertising lots of things in this colour recently but I hadn't seen anything in store that I really liked, but with the help of the lovely shop assistant I found this beauty.
I picked this up in my usual size, I do size up in this kind of material because I like the room to move my arms and sit comfortably too. As my birthday was a Sunday I knew it was going to be a chilled day so I needed comfort and style.
Growing up I went through a rock chick phase, even the emo phase. The thing is though, I've never really grown fully out of it. I'm not anti pink anymore (as you can tell by my bag) but I love a checked shirt and my excitement that shops have tartan back in as well as leopard print everywhere cannot be hidden. I think once you go rocker, you never really go back - I mean, I'm seeing You Me At Six this November and I'm so ready!
This shirt suits both my inner rock chick and my current style. It's comfortable, the material feels soft on my skin, I can dress it up or down and that's just what I like - versatility. I paired it with one of my favourite bags, a bit of contrast in colour but when it's my birthday I want to use my favourite things. My new flamingo friend is called Camilla and was a fun little gift from my Mom.
For a comfortable Sunday I paired the shirt with some Primark black leggings and my trusty Skechers wedges. I think this shirt would also look great with a pair of black ripped skinny jeans to grunge is down a little.
What I like with this shirt is the buttons, being able to unbutton it as far or as little as you want but it not being all the way down the shirt. I also think it goes with my current colour hair pretty well!
